Transnational Project Meeting and the Diversity Toolkit for employers

Transnational Project Meeting

In November 2021, the members of the Create Future project met for the first time in Mallorca, Spain.  Amadip Esment Foundation, one of the organisations collaborating in this project, was the host for the Transnational Project meeting with the hand of the collaborating organisations such as Live Foundation, from Finland; Inova Consultancy, from the UK; and Cercina, from Portugal. The purpose of the meeting was to come together face to face and talk about the process of the project and the next steps to continue to create support models for participation in future work life.
During the three-day meeting, we had the opportunity to visit the different locations and facilities of Amadip Esment Foundation. In addition, we talked about the dissemination of the project including how we can make a greater impact on social media, communications sites, blog sites, and other communication tools. On the last day, we had the great opportunity to go live with the Portuguese Radio Nazaré. Pia Törnwall, the coordinator of the project, from Live Foundation and Ana Pouseiro, from Cercina had the pleasure to talk about the project, the partners, the innovations and the importance of the tools and different organisations working together. It was awesome!

Diversity Toolkit for employers

One of the intellectual outputs of the project is to create a diversity toolkit for employers. As output leader, Amadip Esment Foundation will gather different companies and professionals with the help of the Create Future team to create an efficient toolkit. The aim is to build a diversity-training program that will serve the employers, so they can discuss and inform their employees of the cultural sensitivity in religion, ethnicity, sex, background, sexual orientation, disabilities, and age. Cultural awareness of diversity in the workplace is a top priority of our project because it not only acts as a bridge between workers whose paths might not otherwise meet, but also empowers individuals to exercise their talents and skills.

About disability inclusion

Disability inclusion is about creating an inclusive workplace where people feel welcome and safe and where they are seen, valued, and appreciated for what they bring to the table, their expertises, and experiences. Disability inclusion in the workplace means understanding and addressing the causes of all these types of exclusion.  Create Future created a toolkit for diversity where the important points we have to have in mind to have a more diverse workplace are: 1) understanding the concept of diversity, 2) being aware of the unconscious bias, 3) diversity management, 4) guidance in the workplace, and 5) the benefits of diversity.  Once these important aspects are integrated and use in the workplace, it creates an environment with diversity to successfully lead a diverse work community, make a place safe, and open for everyone without exclusions. It is important to continue educating the community, learning the best ways to change, improve, and train to be a leader and exampl...

Creating support models for participation in future work life project | The importance of international colaboration

The Create Future – Creating support models for participation in future work life -project is an Erasmus+ funded project which focuses on the creation of a diversity toolkit for employers, career guidance professionals and support workers to enable them to use the latest coaching models to support their clients and colleagues who may be facing a particular struggle or disadvantage.  One of the main objectives at this project is to focus on international collaboration and how to take it into account in the project development process. We also strive to use design process methods in collaboration, placing emphasis on how to evolve end users in the project development work. For collaboration, the design process brings structure and supports it in the back round at various stages, such as problem definition, end-user involvement, and output formulation.  In this project, our main target group is the support staff who work with people with special learning needs or double disadvant...
