European partners' meeting to discuss work tools

The european project "Create Future" is getting into its final stage.

All partners gathered in a transnational meeting held in Shefield, England, in a mixed format (presential for Inova Consultancy, Live and Esment, and online for CERCINA).

During two days, the participants developed their ideas about the impact of the methods and tools developed under the project goals.

About disability inclusion

Disability inclusion is about creating an inclusive workplace where people feel welcome and safe and where they are seen, valued, and appreciated for what they bring to the table, their expertises, and experiences. Disability inclusion in the workplace means understanding and addressing the causes of all these types of exclusion. Create Future created a toolkit for diversity where the important points we have to have in mind to have a more diverse workplace are: 1) understanding the concept of diversity, 2) being aware of the unconscious bias, 3) diversity management, 4) guidance in the workplace, and 5) the benefits of diversity. Once these important aspects are integrated and use in the workplace, it creates an environment with diversity to successfully lead a diverse work community, make a place safe, and open for everyone without exclusions. Training the Trainers

On 28th September, Inova Consultancy held the final ‘Training the Trainers’ session with the Create Future consortium in preparation for training sessions which are currently being piloted with the project’s primary target group: support workers, career advisors, mentors and teachers who support people with special needs or those who face a double disadvantage. The use of SMART goals and learning about using strengths to tackle weaknesses proved to be very popular amongst our facilitators in training. Not only was this session a great opportunity for training and reflection on our own practice but it also enabled us to develop further understanding within the partnership and ultimately build upon our team morale. Transnational Project Meeting and the Diversity Toolkit for employers

Transnational Project Meeting In November 2021, the members of the Create Future project met for the first time in Mallorca, Spain. Amadip Esment Foundation, one of the organisations collaborating in this project, was the host for the Transnational Project meeting with the hand of the collaborating organisations such as Live Foundation, from Finland; Inova Consultancy, from the UK; and Cercina, from Portugal. The purpose of the meeting was to come together face to face and talk about the process of the project and the next steps to continue to create support models for participation in future work life. During the three-day meeting, we had the opportunity to visit the different locations and facilities of Amadip Esment Foundation. In addition, we talked about the dissemination of the project including how we can make a greater impact on social media, communications sites, blog sites, and other communication tools.
